 Prof. Park Jae Woo – Journey from Sujok to Smile Meditation

The professor often used to told us the story of the born & origins of perfectionism. The professor often used to told us the story of his birth.When her mother have already passed the conceivable gestation period of pregnancy, Professor mother was in despair. Professor’s father asked the question to his teacher : what to do to get child born? The teacher guide the place which they ought to move and promised that as soon as they will be there she will go into labor.It was a locality situated place at the foot of the mountain under called Seven Peaks of Perfection. Indeed, as soon as the family moved, the professor was born…..

Throughout his life, Professor Park Jae Woo, studying his questions, deeply immersed in the topic and try to found in any knowledge system of the missing links, resulting in it reached its logical completeness, consistency and perfection. For example, Professor discovered those meridians which were not mentioned in Chinese treatises on acupuncture i.e Manus, Side and Embryo meridians. He described the holistic picture human energy system, where Diamond Energy System and Zone system (including the Spiral meridians and Joint meridians) appeared and opened and the evidence-based treatment system compliance in the human body. Finally, he discovered and described the fundamental Triorigin patterns of development that exists, thanks to which everything is possible to mentioned. 

Professor rightly believed that the spirit of the mountain, which helped him to born, accompanied him throughout his life and contributed to the vision, to the recognition of excellence, showing the way to achieve the goals, allowed to find the most effective treatment system and, eventually, to open universal order in which all things in this world tends to perfection.

The Story of Su Jok Therapy

The source of any creative process, carried out by reason, is an inspiration. 

Inspiration –  a Neuto, zero. When the mind reset ? When a familiar, intuitive cycle has end and because of horizon, new one has not appeared. With the same mind to begin this new cycle is not possible, it should completely change – change as changing of the locomotive in a train at the station. Life was good for the professor – studying in the University Research work. In family although his father had died early, he left a good legacy enough for comfortable existence – land, money which is constantly growing. However, being serious scientists, professor was a naive dreamer and very soon lost all his wealth. He had to urgently find a solution …Condition zero – a chance to start something completely new. Because of his work, Professor constantly had to deal with suffering people, his dream was to find an effective way of getting rid of suffering. He started thinking about medicine, but remembered two cases of life their families, in which conventional medicine was powerless and helped by acupuncture in the most amazing way. A memory rooted in the childhood. Professor remembered, as his mother used to take my brother to different doctors to cure skin disease. But nobody could help. Did not get help by either medication or ointment. Someone then advised them to try acupuncture. The professor recalled that his brother crying was from the pain when needle was applied  but then he calmed down and even smiled. After the first session only the skin was clean!

The second incident occurred with his youngest son. When he was small, he had the diarrhea, which lasted several months. Boy lost lot of weight, but diet and drugs did not solve the problem. One day in the house of Professor few people came to carry out repair work. Among them was a carpenter who volunteered to help the son of  professor. Having agreement, he came next day with the needles, had therapeutic session and as if nothing had happened, took up his carpentry work. Diarrhea ceased. The professor was very surprised at the result and working in how that result is achieved and more important carpenter did not even ask about well-being of his son after treatment and did not offer repeat sessions. Thus, acupuncture is effective. While in Korea, he did not relate to Acupuncture as a science so Professor decided to examine in depth the issue. For that He went to China and began training at the Institute of Oriental Medicine.

Professor thought that the learning process is too slow, and he began to study acupuncture in their own originals. He began with first and foremost book on acupuncture, “Nei Ching” and then read many others. But there is nothing fundamentally new in them he found. Then he give more and more time to the “Nei Jing” and realized that it contains everything that is taught in acupuncture, and that the development of acupuncture how science happens. The Professor get clear and strong intention to find a new and find the key to the development of acupuncture – effective method for relief from physical suffering.

The Professor narrate that it was like a Prayer, nothing else – Very strong, wonderful, sublime state of consciousness. Time has stopped. He was just with this clear objective. And the Creator heard the prayer.

Professor remembered as a young man, found striking similarity of the Hand to the body of man, but it was not clear then, as this discovery may be now he knew that there is acupuncture treatment system hands and feet that they have successfully used, but have not seen in these systems the logic, completeness. It seemed surprising that no one before him saw absolutely precise structural and functional similarity of body to the Hands and Feet . How can this be? And how does this apply to be in practice? 

The Professor used his method to treat patients with different, sometimes very chronic
diseases and the results have inspired and impressed by the speed response reaction from the body. He sought information about the method in various sources. It seemed impossible that such a clear, obvious, simple and effective system for thousands of years of acupuncture was not identified and described.

On February 1987, Professor Park has published an article about Su Jok acupuncture, and in March the same year founded the Institute of Su Jok in Seoul. The name of Su Jok sounds simple and clear as the method itself: Su means Hand, Jok – Foot.

How it all began….

The professor initially had only two students. But he does not care. Embarrassed more – simplicity of the method . Basic principles of conformity, Professor could explain in five minutes. Then he decided that as he received knowledge of the “Nei Ching” can also be passed on to the Hand. This knowledge was already enough for the full course.

They were described in two volumes of the book “Su Jok Acupuncture”, together with amazing clinical observations of the first students of the professor, who themselves soon became teachers of the method, freeing there Master for new discoveries and distribution of Su Jok Therapy around the world.

In 1988, in the walls of the Institute, Professor Park Jae Woo additionally introduced the theory of M particles and introduced into the curriculum Su Jok acupuncture practical course on the application of M particles patient care. In the same year in Korea he published a brochure “Theory of M particles”, which has not yet been translated into other languages.

The professor was talking about his first meeting with M particles, which occurred in the early 60’s: he had a cold, but he had to quickly recover. His intention was very strong. Recognition of Su Jok Acupuncture in Different Countries

The first months and years of Su Jok therapy confirmed superior efficacy. Attracted as a clear logic ease of use, cost effectiveness, the ability to heal the patient, without using special equipment. This meant that teaching method is fast and a lot of people, regardless of their level of education and specialization, the mentality of (Western or east), and use of Su Jok is possible during periods of prosperity and in times of crisis, to treat both rich and poor, without regard to race or religious affiliation. Su Jok has become one of the first integrative, universal systems, and because the professor introduced the additional concept – Onnuri Medicine (Onnuri – “whole world”, all-encompassing). He wanted very much to make the method accessible to millions of people all over the world.

And then the professor started search and apply for participation in various international congresses, not only acupuncture, but also because called alternative therapies, traditional medicine. Thanks to this congress, Professor first came to Russia in Moscow in 1991. His message was received with great enthusiasm. And it is without regulation, in the hotel, on the request of the Congress, Professor Park Jae Woo read additional lecture on Su Jok therapy, and promised to return to Russia to read the full course. In 90’s of the last century there was a period of flourishing of alternative and traditional medicine. This was partly due to the adopted 12 September 1978  Alma-Ata Kazakhstan, USSR) Declaration of the WHO. This declaration was later called the Great Charter of Health legitimize using traditional (alternative) medicine for strengthening the primary health care and strengthen health and social care the most vulnerable people around the world.

Su Jok as a medical system is much more than acupuncture, and in addition because of  his acupuncture includes simple “folk” ways of restoring health. Since then, every year in September Professor tried to be there, holding seminars in Almaty Institute Advanced Medical Kazakhstan State Medical University. He became a professor at the University vizitiruyuschim. In 1992, Professor Park conducted seminars in Moscow and St. Petersburg, Minsk and Kiev, Tbilisi and Tashkent. In the same year professor gave a lecture in London Royal Hospital (England), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), in Madrid (Spain), Lisbon (Portugal), Athens (Greece), University of Sri Lanka, Bombay (India), etc. 

In Munich (Germany) outstanding contribution to world science, Professor Park Jae Woo is set the title of academician of the International Academy of Sciences. In 1993, he is Honorary Professor of the Pedagogical University of Georgia Honorary Doctor of the St. Petersburg University of physical culture, Honorary Professor of the Kyrgyz State Medical Academy. In 1993, as a result of continuous education professor and his students opened the Moscow Su Jok Academy, and Center Subal, publisher of the Su Jok Academy “in Moscow, the Institute of Cy Jok in Minsk (Belarus), Center Suban in Kiev; established by the Russian and the International Association of Su Jok therapy & International Foundation ONNURI. 

In the same year began teaching Su Jok acupuncture in the department of the Moscow Dental State University and the Department of non-drug therapies and clinical physiology of Moscow Medical Academy named after IM Sechenov. Su Jok joined the program for public medical schools in Russia and CIS abroad. Moscow Su Jok Academy has become a major educational and methodological and a focal point in the world, and doctors and teachers of Su Jok Academy are conducting a huge number of seminars in their own country, so and in other countries because of the increasing popularity of Su Jok therapy. With 90 years of last century to the present regular Seminars are held in Greece, Romania, Bulgaria, Israel, Sweden, Czech Republic, Denmark, Poland, Italy, Serbia, Hungary, Latvia, Moldova, Mexico, Canada, U.S. and other countries. A large number of Su Jok Therapists also been prepared in Brazil, Jordan, Iran, Great Britain, Germany, Armenia, Georgia, Estonia and Lithuania. In August 1998, at the VII International Congress of Chinese Medicine in San Francisco (USA) for outstanding achievements in the development of Medicine Professor Park Jae Woo was awarded the title “acupuncturist of the year”.

In 1999 in Almaty (Kazakhstan) started first in the world ONNURI College, and in 2000 began teaching Su Jok Therapy International Su Jok Center in Cyprus. Moscow Su Jok Academy as a major international center of Su Jok therapy annually represents the method by the congresses of acupuncture, most of whichheld under the auspices of the International Association acupuncturist ICMART and EuroTCM. In 2006 Professor Park Jae Woo, an Honorary Professor of International Centre for Theoretical Medicine, Russian Medical University. By Su Jok Therapy and Twist recognized by the Ministry of Health of Russia, all medical the country’s universities Su Jok is taught on the approved curriculum.
